Massie on Cassidy loss, overcoming Trump: ‘My situation is a little bit different’

ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos interviews Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., on “This Week.”

Trending is a section of Current News that talks about the latest events, stories and opinions. A breaking story is an event that elicits nationwide coverage and requires a number of stations to interrupt their normal programming. Breaking stories can last a few minutes, or continue for hours or days. A breaking story is typically covered through the network newscast, which usually includes a special graphic that appears over all of the regular commercial advertising. In some cases, the network may also incorporate analysis about the story through analysts in-studio or via phone, satellite, broadband (B-GAN) or other methods of communication. Depending on the severity of the event, networks will occasionally interrupt regularly scheduled programming entirely for sustained breaking news coverage. Historically, such interruptions were reserved for events that required nationwide coverage and a large number of station interruptions. Such breaks were commonly known as Newsflash and Special Report, before 24-hour news channels came to prominence.
