The American Broadcasting Company is the primary news provider for the United States. It also produces a weekly magazine, CSM, that covers US and international current events. Other prominent sources of current news include Scott Lucas, a professor of American Studies at the University of Birmingham, and Fareed Zakaria, an Indian-American columnist for The Washington Post. The BBC is another trusted source of news, and it sells half of its circulation in the United States.
The Bentley Library’s databases have access to a wide variety of newspapers and periodical publications. You can search the database by topic or specific publication. You can also perform a Google search to find publications of interest. The Library can also help you find publications that are not online. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, use the Bentley Library’s guide to locate current news sources.
The app allows you to follow trending topics, as well as filter out topics you’d rather not see. You can also subscribe to feeds from specific news sources or block them completely. You can also comment, reply, and upvote on stories you’re interested in. NewsBreak is like a public forum where you can share your thoughts and feelings without feeling the need to hold back.
CASE’s publications include the award-winning magazine Currents, and newsletters and blogs. The publication also highlights the accomplishments of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s School of Engineering. The school’s students recently won the ASHRAE 2022 Design Competition, an international competition. In addition, they finished fourth in the applied engineering challenge category and were recognized as a Rising Star Award winner.
