In fact, the number of Americans watching cable TV is expected to drop to 56 percent by 2021. This decline is particularly significant for the Fox News Channel, which will lose $20 per subscriber each year. More people are turning to streaming, with more than 85 percent of U.S. households subscribed to a streaming service.

As streaming technology becomes more popular, TV networks are experimenting with new ways to deliver news. ABC and CBS have both started streaming news services. Despite the challenges of delivering news content over the Internet, they have high hopes for streaming. They have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to develop their streaming services. For example, Fox’s Fox Nation app has garnered 1.5 million subscribers. Meanwhile, NBC News Now has 31 million hours of content on its site each month.
Continuing Homecoming festivities at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a college in Edwardsville, Illinois, have brought alumni and friends back to campus. In addition to celebrating Homecoming, the university is celebrating the 9th consecutive year that it has won the prestigious INSIGHT Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award. With this achievement, the university is kicking off its Homecoming festivities for 2022!
