The new website “Damn Lines” captures live shots of the lines waiting outside some of New York City’s buzziest eateries. But where’s the line between convenience and surveillance, when most people don’t know they are being filmed?
About Trending
Breaking news is a breaking-news story that requires immediate coverage and elicits network affiliates to interrupt their regular programming. Breaking news reports typically begin with a graphic and a special music cue, often overlaid with a countdown sequence to allow affiliated stations to switch to the network feed when the event occurs. Depending on the severity of the news, the network may also include analysis about the situation through analysts in-studio, via phone or satellite, or through a live remote. Prior to the advent of 24-hour news networks, breaking-news interruptions for non-news programs were rare, and usually reserved for major events such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
