A recent announcement by the city of Sammamish, Washington, invites proposals for a Classification and Compensation Study. This community is particularly interested in hiring women-owned businesses. In addition, the city will unveil a Progress Pride Flag mosaic in its city hall lobby on September 14, 2022. It will be installed as part of the city’s ongoing efforts to improve the local LGBT community. King County Metro and Sound Transit also offer free transit to those 18 years and younger.
Another recent announcement is the inauguration of SIUE’s 2022 Homecoming festivities. On Saturday, Sept. 24, the University hosted Cougars Unleashed, a homecoming run that is celebrated by alumni and friends. The run is a tradition that goes back virtually two years for SIUE alum Laila Landreth, a business administration graduate from Copenhagen, Denmark.
