Streaming news is now a ubiquitous phenomena. While news isn’t new, the advent of streaming has revolutionized the way that news is reported and delivered. Streaming allows news programs to be recorded and distributed, as well as archived for future viewing. It also allows viewers to customize the news they receive.
Major news networks have made hundreds of millions of dollars in investments in streaming operations. Streaming news can be watched anywhere, anytime. And it’s not just for the rich and famous. According to a recent study, the majority of Americans subscribe to at least one streaming service.
Streaming news is the most useful and effective way to deliver news to consumers. It allows news networks to deliver timely and relevant news to consumers wherever they are. The news might be delivered via a live shot of an anchor, or the news might be delivered via a live feed from the newscaster at the location of the breaking event.
For instance, the network may integrate analysis of the breaking story into its reporting, or may switch from its newscast to a reverse countdown of the same story. In addition, the news network may allow local stations to break away from the network feed, to start a newscast. The local station may also join on an “extended edition” of the network feed.
The simplest example of this is a reverse countdown that lasts for at least five seconds. In addition, the network might also incorporate an opening graphic or lower thirds that convey a sense of urgency.
