About Current News

Trending is a section of the website that focuses on topics of interest to the general public. It includes articles, videos and pictures. It is updated on a regular basis.
Breaking news is an announcement of a significant current event that requires the interruption of other non-news programming (or, in some cases, regular network newscasts). Breaking stories may last for just a few minutes or, depending on the nature of the story and its urgency, can be followed over the course of hours or even days. The use of breaking news graphics, such as a special report or newsflash, and lower thirds is commonly employed to communicate the urgency of the event.
