Many news networks have felt the pinch of falling viewership as viewers have shunned traditional TV news. According to Nielsen, the number of people watching cable television fell from seventy-six percent in 2015 to just fifty-six percent by 2021. Fox News Channel lost $20 per subscriber in 2015, while eighty-five percent of U.S. households now subscribe to a streaming service.

The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Education Leadership program has selected 10 students to participate in the Illinois School Leadership Pipeline Program. These aspiring principals come from small and large districts across Illinois. The ISLPP program is led by Vicki Van Tuyle, associate professor of educational leadership. Tolson is an academic marketing expert and will assume her role on Dec. 7, 2022.

Earlier this year, the City of Sammamish’s Department of Community Development announced the hiring of a new Deputy Chief, Justin Lieberman. Lieberman has 20 years of experience with the department. Previously, he worked as a patrol sergeant, detective, lieutenant, and captain. The appointment follows the retirement of long-time chief Kevin Schmoll. The city’s Department of Community Development also announced the appointment of new Chief of Police Steve Lysaght. Lysaght had been employed by the King County Sheriff’s Office for many years.
