Streaming news has arrived on the scene. It’s like conventional TV, but it arrives whenever the viewer wants it. It travels anywhere the viewer goes. It’s a more cost-effective way to build a library of news and archive it. It’s also a faster way to deliver news.
News networks recognized that there was a growing audience for streaming. They also recognized that they had a technological edge in serving that audience. They wanted to enter the streaming business. In turn, they’re likely to reshape the way we cover politics and news.
Newsy has planted a flag in the streaming frontier. It has become the #1 local news app in the U.S. It offers comprehensive coverage of the news, as well as curated daily briefings. It also provides links to local TV stations and radio stations. It also gives viewers the option of cutting their cable subscription.
The Newsmax stream has also planted its flag. It offers an array of international news, along with links to the world’s most important media. It’s also a source of astronomy, cosmology, and space news.
Another streaming service, CASE xChange, offers a new channel. It has six country-specific supplements and a digital subscription. It also publishes a white paper and has released CASE Global Reporting Standards. It’s also an international news service that welcomes book proposals.
There’s a lot of competition in the streaming world. In addition to Newsy, there’s Al Jazeera and Cheddar. And there’s also One America News.
