A look at the top photos from around the globe.
There are many sources of current news. The most common are in-person conversations, newspapers, television and online sources. Other notable media outlets include magazines and digital news services.
For the most part, the biggest news isn’t necessarily the most important. But, there are some news worthy events that occurred during the year.
While the most important event in the calendar was the reopening of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on January 3, 2022, there are also some less than noteworthy stories.
According to a survey, the best news story of the year was the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The second best story was the discovery of a new planet, while the third was the most shocking death of the year.
Another major accomplishment was the completion of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation atrium, which was renovated with a donation of over $1 million. In addition, the City of Sammamish released Kokanee fry at Lake Sammamish State Park.
There were some other big newsworthy events, too. These included the signing of H.R.6910, the announcement of the 2020 EM Pain and Procedural Committee, the signing of the 2020-2021 Residency Guidelines, and the signing of a letter of support from the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM).
The award-winning “Circle of Excellence” was a bit of a misnomer. Although there were five award winners, only one was actually a circle, meaning that it was not a ring or a horseshoe.
Some other notable events of the year were the launch of the Sammamish County Emergency Communications Office, the release of Kokanee fry at Lake Sammamish, and the announcement of the newest city parks and open space.
