Police say at least 13 people are dead and 35 others injured after a fire broke out at a night club in the Chonburi province of Thailand.

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s commencement ceremonies continue May 6-7. Chancellor James T. Minor will preside over seven ceremonies. About 2,356 eligible graduates will receive degrees from the school’s College of Arts and Sciences and School of Engineering. Students were honored with honorary plaques and $100 certificates for completing their studies. The University also presented awards to deserving students. The winners of the awards were chosen by a committee chaired by Dianah McGreehan, Ph.D.
