There are many ways to stay informed of the latest news from the higher education world. One is by checking out the various subscription databases that offer daily international trade news, trade related documents, and political and advocacy coverage. These databases are also available to onsite patrons at LC.
Another source is PR Newswire. The organization offers a free journalist toolkit that enables news outlets to publish stories that are targeted to specific audiences. Additionally, the company offers a multichannel content distribution network. This allows for easy navigation and quick loading of stories. Users can share stories on social media platforms and customize notifications to stay up-to-date on trending news.
In addition to PR Newswire, users can also access information from several other major news sites. For instance, POLITICO covers national politics, Capitol Hill, and trade issues. SciTechDaily provides a wide range of science and technology news, including astronomy, cosmology, astrophysics, and more.
As part of its celebration of Homecoming in 2022, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) has kicked off a variety of events. This includes a virtual event, an in-person event, and an opening ceremony for Native Heritage Month. SIUE’s Chancellor James T. Minor hosted a late night breakfast for students on the day of the event. Afterward, SIUE welcomed alumni and friends to the campus.
A special collection of historical research was received by SIUE. The collection is called the Douglas and Betty Noverr Collection of Walt Whitman’s Journalism.
