Streaming news services, like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, offer an alternative to traditional broadcast TV. These services allow viewers to watch news programs on their own schedules, anywhere in the world. They also help cut the cost of building a news library.
Streaming networks repurpose programs from traditional broadcast and cable channels. These include documentaries, reruns, and news analysis. They also offer live newscasts.
Streaming news services are attracting a growing audience. In fact, 85 percent of U.S. households subscribe to at least one of these services.
Streaming news provides a more user-friendly experience than traditional broadcast news. For example, you can watch the news on your tablet or smartphone. You can also use the app to block trending topics, express your opinions, and find local news coverage.
Some news services offer a news section that includes links to local news organizations and radio stations. The section also includes links to the world’s top news organizations. It is also possible to browse a country list that provides local news for countries around the world.
These news services are unbiased and provide comprehensive information. They are also free. They are independent of the news organizations that produce them, and the news is delivered quickly.
Some networks offer an “extended edition” of the news, allowing local stations to take over the network feed for a few minutes to provide coverage of an event in the area. Some programs are extended for up to 45 minutes. When coverage is over, the network may switch back to the newscast.
