Current News is a collection of articles and content focused on topics, events or trends that are currently hot. This type of coverage is often aimed at boosting reader engagement and attracting new audience members.

A snippet of text within an article that stands out and highlights a key point or idea. It’s typically written in a larger or stylized font to grab attention and provide additional context. Snippets are a great way to add authenticity and personal voice to an otherwise neutral piece of journalism.

An organization that feeds syndicated news to multiple publications, like the Associated Press or AFP. A news agency is the engine room of the news industry, distributing breaking stories, images and more to media outlets on the fly.

The headline at the top of a story that provides the most pertinent details about the story. Often referred to as the lede, it covers the who, what, where, when and why of a story. The lede is the first thing that readers see when they open a publication or read an online article.

An opinion-driven article that offers insight, analysis or a fresh perspective on current events or specific topics. Unlike straight news pieces, editorials reflect the stance and viewpoint of the publication they’re in.
