Chancellor James T. Minor and the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Dental Medicine held the 20th annual White Coat Ceremony and Honors Day on May 5. The ceremony celebrated outstanding students from nearly two dozen departments, including the School of Dentistry. There were 50 dental students in the first-year cohort and six IAPP graduates. The university’s president, Denise Cobb, welcomed the crowd and offered remarks. The awards were presented to those with exemplary academic records, as chosen by the faculty and staff of the school.
