NewsBreak is one of the most popular digital news applications. It allows users to follow trends, share their opinions, and express their feelings. With a subscription, users can access more than 6300 digital newspapers and magazines.
For children, News for Kids has daily roundups of current news stories written for kids. This online news site also includes explanations of unfamiliar terms and worldwide stories.
In the UK, Fun Kids Radio produces podcasts and radio shows. These include the Junior Show, which discusses major news stories in an engaging child-friendly format. Aside from news, the website features podcasts on astronomy and space.
As part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion, SIUE has invited alumni and community members to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Luncheon. There will be a keynote speaker, musical performance, and an opportunity to meet administrators and faculty members.
SIUE will continue Homecoming festivities through January 2. It will open on January 3 and re-open on January 7. Through December and January, students will have winter break.
