There are more than a few news channels on television today. The broadcast news industry has been a successful business, but there is a growing number of options available to viewers. Streaming has the potential to reshape the way we receive news.
Streaming allows us to watch the news whenever and wherever we want. It makes content more accessible and allows for timely delivery. Streaming is also cheaper to build news libraries and archive.
News outlets are aware of the potential for their streams to grow. In fact, several of them have already planted a flag in the streaming frontier. Some of the companies have done this by offering free content. Others are competing by offering cable-quality content.
