Sen.Kennedy and Sec.Noem get into heated exchange over Minneapolis shooting

“This wasn’t anonymous … it was you.”

Senator John Kennedy and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem got into a heated exchange after Noem denied saying she did everything “at the direction of the president and [White House Deputy Chief of Staff] Stephen [Miller]” in the wake of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.

Kennedy said Noem’s words that he read were “on the record,” while Noem claimed the quote came from “anonymous sources.”

Current News covers the latest headlines in the world of news, politics, social media and entertainment. It also talks about Trending, which are the topics that are getting a lot of attention on the Internet.

Breaking news is a news event that elicits immediate coverage, causing stations to interrupt regular non-news programming, or occasionally breaking news events that occur during ongoing coverage (such as severe weather). This is an important feature of 24-hour cable and satellite networks. Historically, broadcast television and radio in North America would use cut-ins or alert crawls during regular programming only for extremely urgent events such as landfalling hurricanes, tornadoes, or other severe weather.

Upon the occurrence of breaking news, a countdown graphic is shown, and station imaging promos or program reminders are replaced with a network feed. This is typically followed by a news anchor who welcomes viewers to the breaking news story. Depending on the urgency of the story, it may be reported using live feeds from the field or in-studio analysis.
